Inércia is a non-profit organisation aimed to make the Demoscene known in Portugal through preservation and outreach. Simultaneously, we organise events such as Inércia Festival and work towards getting the Demoscene as part of the list UNESCO intangible world cultural heritage.

Originally created in 2002, Inércia was refounded in 2022 by demosceners and enthousiasts with over 20 years of experience in organising so-called "Demo Parties", the more common demoscene events. While addressing some of the more common problems like funding and logistic support for those events, another goal of this non-profit is to outreach and enlarge the demoscene community, thriving to get more people engaged and creatively involved with Inércia, either by being part of our association or by participating in our events with their art pieces.
